These terms and conditions ("Agreement") set forth the general terms and conditions of your use of the My Teacher AE mobile application ("Mobile Application" or "Service") and any of its related products and services (collectively, "Services"). This Agreement is legally binding between you ("User", "you" or "your") and this Mobile Application developer ("Operator", "we", "us" or "our").
If you are entering into this Agreement on behalf of a business or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity to this Agreement, in which case the terms "User", "you" or "your" shall refer to such entity. If you do not have such authority, or if you do not agree with the terms of this Agreement, you must not accept this Agreement and may not access and use the Mobile Application and Services.
By accessing and using the Mobile Application and Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.
Accounts and Membership
Age Requirement: You must be at least 21 years of age to use the Mobile Application and Services. By using the Mobile Application and Services and by agreeing to this Agreement you warrant and represent that you are at least 21 years of age.
If you create an account in the Mobile Application, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and you are fully responsible for all activities that occur under the account and any other actions taken in connection with it. We may monitor and review new accounts before you may sign in and start using the Services. Providing false contact information of any kind may result in the termination of your account.
You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized uses of your account or any other breaches of security. We will not be liable for any acts or omissions by you, including any damages of any kind incurred as a result of such acts or omissions. We may suspend, disable, or delete your account if we determine that you have violated any provision of this Agreement.
Links to Other Resources
Although the Mobile Application and Services may link to other resources (such as websites, mobile applications, etc.), we are not, directly or indirectly, implying any approval, association, sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation with any linked resource, unless specifically stated herein. We are not responsible for examining or evaluating, and we do not warrant the offerings of, any businesses or individuals or the content of their resources.
You should carefully review the legal statements and other conditions of use of any resource which you access through a link in the Mobile Application. Your linking to any other off-site resources is at your own risk.
Changes and Amendments
We reserve the right to modify this Agreement or its terms related to the Mobile Application and Services at any time at our discretion. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page. An updated version of this Agreement will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Mobile Application and Services after the effective date constitutes your consent to those changes.
Acceptance of These Terms
You acknowledge that you have read this Agreement and agree to all its terms and conditions. By accessing and using the Mobile Application and Services you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the terms of this Agreement, you are not authorized to access or use the Mobile Application and Services.

Additional Terms Specific to MyTeacher
1. Platform Role and No Employment Relationship
MyTeacher AE ("MyTeacher", "we", "us", "our") operates solely as a technology platform that facilitates connections between parents, students, and independent teachers.
MyTeacher is not:
- An employer, agency, school, or educational institution
- A party to any agreement between parents and teachers
- Responsible for supervising, directing, or controlling teachers or students
All teachers registered on the platform act as independent contractors and not as employees, agents, or representatives of MyTeacher. Any agreement, lesson, arrangement, or relationship formed between a parent and a teacher is strictly between those parties, and MyTeacher bears no responsibility or liability arising from such relationships.
2. Off-Platform Activities Disclaimer
Once users are connected through the MyTeacher platform, any interaction that takes place outside of the application — including but not limited to in-person lessons, online lessons conducted through third-party tools, meetings, communications, or agreements — are conducted entirely at the users' own risk and responsibility. MyTeacher does not monitor, supervise, or control any lessons or interactions that occur outside the platform.
3. Children, Supervision, and Safety
Parents acknowledge and agree that they remain fully responsible for the supervision, safety, and well-being of their children at all times, including during lessons arranged through MyTeacher.
MyTeacher does not:
- Supervise lessons
- Monitor teacher behavior
- Guarantee child safety
Any incident, injury, accident, misconduct, or inappropriate behavior occurring during or after a lesson is not the responsibility of MyTeacher. Teachers are solely responsible for their conduct and actions during lessons.
4. Location of Lessons
Lessons may take place at a parent's home, a teacher's home, a third-party location, or online. All such locations are outside the control of MyTeacher. MyTeacher shall not be held liable for accidents or injuries, property damage, safety issues, or legal or regulatory issues arising from lessons conducted at any physical or virtual location.
5. Scheduling, Cancellations, and Delays
MyTeacher is not responsible for late arrivals, missed lessons, cancellations, rescheduling disputes, or no-shows. All scheduling matters must be resolved directly between parents and teachers. MyTeacher does not guarantee availability, punctuality, or continuity of any teacher.
6. Payments and Financial Disputes
Any payments, refunds, or financial arrangements between parents and teachers are handled either directly between users or through payment tools facilitated by the platform. MyTeacher is not responsible for payment disputes, refund disagreements, pricing conflicts, or unpaid or partially paid lessons. MyTeacher does not act as an arbitrator or mediator in financial disputes.
7. Teacher Verification and Quality Disclaimer
MyTeacher may request or review certain documents (such as identification or qualifications) from teachers for platform access purposes. However, MyTeacher does not guarantee the accuracy of documents, teaching quality or results, or educational outcomes. Any verification performed by MyTeacher is an administrative check only and does not constitute certification, endorsement, or professional validation.
8. Conduct, Abuse, and Illegal Activity
Any inappropriate, abusive, or illegal behavior must be reported to the relevant local authorities. MyTeacher reserves the right to suspend, disable, or permanently remove any account suspected of violating these Terms or applicable laws. However, MyTeacher is not responsible for investigating or resolving criminal or civil matters.
9. Communication Outside the Application
MyTeacher is not responsible for messages, calls, meetings, or agreements made outside the platform after users are connected. Users acknowledge that any off-platform communication is conducted at their own discretion and risk.
10. Insurance Disclaimer
MyTeacher does not provide any form of insurance coverage. Teachers are solely responsible for maintaining any professional or personal insurance they deem necessary. Parents are responsible for ensuring adequate insurance coverage for their children and property.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyTeacher shall not be liable for personal injury, emotional distress, property damage, educational outcomes, or indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. MyTeacher's total liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount paid by the user to MyTeacher during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyTeacher, its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:
- Their use of the platform
- Their interactions with other users
- Any off-platform activity
